The children in Foundation are making the most of the hot weather by getting outside and having some fun with water.
They children love to explore and splash about in the water but most of all they love it because they can do it together!

Making Gingerbread men
After enjoying the story The Gingerbread Man so much, they thought it would be a great idea to make their very own gingerbread men.
Measuring, mixing, rolling, cutting and decorating, the children had so much fun!
Gardening is fun when we do it together
The children in Foundation 5 have recently had the special opportunity of learning something new from some of the experts in class 3.
They came to share their knowledge of plants with us and helped our children to understand what plants need to grow and live.
They then planted some rhubard with us and taught us how to take care of it. We can´t wait to try some once it grows!
Learning new skills
Reflective thinking, planning, problem solving, decision-making, logical thinking, emotional intelligence and cooperation are all skills required when playing board games.
Some of these points were difficult at first, but with practice and patience the children in Foundation 4 have built upon these skills making playing games fun!
Fridays are for picnics!
It´s such a beautiful day and Nursery 2 & 3 just could not resist a chance to get out in the sun.
Using musical instruments
Whether you are tapping, shaking, banging or blowing, musical instruments are a great way to get children engaged in music.
The children are exploring how sounds can be changed and learning how to copy a simple repeated rhythm.
Watch this space for some future professional musicians.

The little lion hunters
Would you go on a lion hunt?
They little lion hunters in Nursery 2 have been busy at work trying to see what they could find.
With their binoculars to hand, they went on a hunt around the school.
They found pictures of animals and even a lion cave.
It´s so much fun being an explorer!
