Reflective thinking, planning, problem solving, decision-making, logical thinking, emotional intelligence and cooperation are all skills required when playing board games.
Some of these points were difficult at first, but with practice and patience the children in Foundation 4 have built upon these skills making playing games fun!
A Good Read
There’s nothing better than spending time with your nose in a book in the company of good friends, especially when you’re beginning to understand how to read!
The children in Foundation 5 have been working very hard on their handwriting this week.
They are always keen to improve and learn new skills!
This week in Nursery 3 the children have been very busy writing
letters to one another and posting them in their very own classroom post box which they made themselves.
This morning, some of the children were chosen to deliver the letters and the children enjoyed opening them to see what was inside.
We are extremely happy to announce the winners for the book mark competition.
We ran a competition for San Jordi´s Day here at St Peter´s.
The task was to design theis own bookmarks and a prize was given for the most creative designs. Helena and Adelia are so pleased with their achievement!
Well done to the winners and everyone who took part!
We are very proud of you all!
Stories are a great way to introduce new words and concepts to children. They are also a great way to teach children different concepts such as: size, shapes, colours, numbers etc.
Nursery 3 are learning all about ´The Very Hungry Caterpillar´ this term.
Through this story the children will learn a range of things from the names and colours of different fruits to learning about the world around them.
With the aid of props, the story book and the help of teachers, the children were able to act out the story for themselves. Take a look!
We love it when storytellers come to St Peter´s to entertain us. We learn so much more when having fun.
We love reading stories but when we can see the story come to life is when we can really feel the magic!
The Blue Mango Theatre Company came to visit us this week to perform ´Jack and the Beanstalk´. The children loved it so much!
